— Show Racism the Red Card

Show Racism the Red Card is the UK’s largest anti-racism educational charity. Established in 1996, thanks in part to a donation by former Newcastle United goalkeeper, Shaka Hislop. Across the UK, SRtRC provides educational sessions to more than 50,000 individuals per year, with the aim to challenge misconceptions, stereotypes and negative attitudes in society. As well as in-person training, SRtRC offers online training for education staff in the form of our Promoting Equality and Tackling Racism in Schools eLearning course, with our Tackling Racism in Your Sport eLearning course for Sports NGBs, associations and organisations, available now here.

Courses - LGBTQ in your Sport & EQAULITY, Diversity and Inclusion in Sport

— Racing Pride

Racing Pride is an innovative moment, developed in collaboration with the LGBTQ+ charity, Stonewall, in 2019. The aim of the charity is to positively promote LGBTQ+ inclusivity within the motorsport industry, as well as amongst it’s technological and commercial partners. Racing Pride have worked with us to share knowledge, content, and share founder Richard Morris’ personal story within our Equality and Diversity in Sport eLearning course, launched September 2021. Richard is also the course author of our LGBTQ+ Inclusion in Your Sport course, launching August 2022. Available for pre-purchase here.

Course - Dealing with Eating Disorders in Sport

— Dr Richard Allison

Dr Richard Allison is a Performance Nutritionist and Clinical Dietician. A registered Dietitian with the British Dietetic Association and member of the Sport and Exercise Nutritionist Register (SENr), Richard has extensive knowledge and experience in his field, working with a varied range of clients, from elite athletes to those with nutritional deficiencies. Former Head of Performance Nutrition at Arsenal FC, Richard has worked with athletes from a range of sporting disciplines, including football, rugby, NBA, athletics, swimming, cycling and combat sports.

Courses - Dealing with Anxiety in Young Players & Building Resilience in young players

— Team Mental Health

Team Mental Health is headed up by two medical doctors, Dr Libby Artingstall and Dr Sile McDaid, who specialised as consultant psychiatrists. TMH work with schools, businesses and the sports sector to promote good mental health, prevent mental ill health and detect signs of mental health problems early. Their aim is to empower schools, sports organisations and workplaces, raising awareness, tackling stigma, and supporting communities to be their best. 

Team Mental Health partnered with us to create Building Resilience in Young Players and Dealing with Anxiety in Young Players.

Course - Mental Health & wellbeing in Sport launching 2023

— Professor Stuart Carrington

Stuart Carrington is a Senior Lecturer in Sports Coaching Science and Programme Coordinator at St. Mary’s University, London. With a background in football coaching, previously representing two Premier League football clubs, Stuart’s current area of interest is sports officials, in particular the role that rational-emotive behaviour therapy (REBT) can play in referee development. In 2019, Stuart published his book ‘Blowing the Whistle: The Psychology of Football Refereeing’.

— Lindsey Chaplin

Lindsey is a former teacher with a PGCE in Secondary Education and is a qualified Coach Educator, having worked with Sport Wales and UK Coaching for 12 years. Having spent a decade working within Disability and Paralympic Sport, Lindsey’s specialist areas are Inclusion, Safeguarding and Equality. As a training consultant, Lindsey works with organisations to create and deliver bespoke training courses and content.

Course - understanding Mental Health in Young Players

— Dean Burnett

Dean is a neuroscientist and international bestselling author of ‘The Idiot Brain and The Happy Brain’. His books have been translated into more than twenty languages.

He focuses on how the brain works for young people with a particular interest in their mental health and coping mechanisms.

— Kojo Hazel

Kojo Hazel is a Physical Education teacher and Innovative Educator Expert. He is Head of Vocational Education, a dedicated basketball coach, personal trainer, co-owner of Tribal Basketball, co-owner of Team Active and most recently, co-owner of The Biz IT. Kojo’s passions are always geared towards coaching and educating the next generation, and he is a fellow of the BAMEed Network.
