The Helping you with GDPR and Data Protection compliance Webinar is hosted by Accelerate Sport, in association with The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO)

More and more people are becoming aware of their personal data and how it’s being used, so any club that wants to be trusted has to get it right. We’re here to help.

When you enrol on this webinar, you will develop an understanding of Data Protection and help identify steps that your club may need to take to ensure they’re handling people’s data correctly and complying with the law.

As part of the session, the ICO will provide access to tools and resources to help clubs take simple steps towards improving its data compliance.

The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) is the UK’s independent regulator for data protection and information rights law, upholding information rights in the public interest, promoting openness by public bodies and data privacy for individuals.

The ICO achieves this by educating organisations, through guidance and engagement to understand when and how they can use personal data; Taking action against organisations that do not comply with the law; Helping individual’s to understand and exercise their rights; and working with other regulators in the UK and globally to improve information rights standards.
