The benefits of this publicity are huge \u2013 from enticing new players and athletes to sign with you, to gathering new sponsorship&#8230; from raising the profile of your sport, to getting people along to your matches, races and events&#8230; It\u2019s a cost effective way to engage with huge swathes of people in one go, and amounts to free advertising! According to a report published by statista last year, \u201cIn 2021, an online survey conducted in the UK found that 36 percent of UK news consumers said they used Facebook as a source of news, making it the third most popular source after broadcasters BBC and ITV.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:1,&quot;335551620&quot;:1,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">But it\u2019s not just social media that needs our attention.
