
Tackling Eating Disorders in Sport
Our aim with Tackling Eating Disorders in Sport is to create a course which will educate learners about the symptoms and signs of different eating disorders as well as how to take steps to treat these.
Key learning outcomes are:
- Understand what eating disorders are
- Recognise the spectrum of eating behavior in athletes
- Consider the prevalence in sport
- Understand the consequences on health and performanceÂ
- See how to identify and treat the disorders
The course will culminate in an assessment, which will see you awarded with a certificate and CPD points on successful completion.

Dr Richard Allison is a Performance Nutrition Consultant in elite sport, currently running the ISEH Sports Nutrition and Recovery Clinic.
The former Head of Performance Nutrition at Arsenal Football Club. He is a registered Dietitian with the British Dietetic Association and member of the Sport and Exercise Nutritionist Register (SENr).
A former Royal Marine Commando with a broad array of expertise and substantial applied experience within the area of applied sports nutrition and clinical dietetics specialising in eating disorders.
