Engaging Diverse Communities in Sport
During this course you will have the opportunity to consider the diversity of the community within and surrounding your organisation. We’ll consider the following questions:
- Understand the experiences and barriers to sports participation for people from ethnic minority backgrounds
- Understand why sports organisations need to effectively engage with diverse communities.
- Comprehend methods for effective engagement of diverse communities in sport.
- Consider the needs of coaches, players, parents and other key members of Diverse communities
- Start preparing an action plan for improvement within your organisation
The Course will help you start to create a framework which is both realistic and achievable for your organisation. The focus is on sport, so we will look at sport specific situations and scenarios and consider how successfully engaging with Diverse communities can have a positive impact on those within and surrounding your club and beyond
The course will culminate in an assessment, which will see you awarded with a certificate and CPD points on successful completion
